Akhilesh meets Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav visited the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela on Sunday, accompanied by his son Arjun Yadav. In a gesture of deep faith and devotion, Akhilesh and his son took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. After the ritual dip, Akhilesh offered prayers to the Sun God, performing the traditional Arghya.

Following the puja, the SP chief visited the camps of sadhus, saints, and religious leaders, engaging in interactions with them. During one such visit, he paid his respects to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. Demonstrating humility, Akhilesh sat on a mat spread on the ground, folded his hands, and bowed before the Shankaracharya.
